First Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston

17-20 April, 2024

We are proud to have been able to represent Romania at the First Tech Challenge World Robotics Championship in Houston from April 17-20, 2024, returning home with 3 awards: Control Award Winner - Ochoa Division, Winning Alliance Captain - Ochoa Division & Finalist Alliance Captain!🇷🇴

Following the qualifying matches, our team ranked 1st, advancing later to the semi-finals of the Ochoa Division, the semi-finals of the Championship and the grand final.

It was a journey full of emotions and we are glad that the final of the First Tech Challenge World Robotics Championship was a Romanian one!💜

First Tech Challenge National Championship

With a performance that left the audience breathless, our team managed to secure the Inspire 1 Award, winning the hearts of the judges and demonstrating excellence in all aspects of the competition.

We played the finals of the championship, being the Finalist Alliance Captain together with CyLiis and RoSophia. 

In addition to the collective performance, another moment of pride for Team Ro2D2 was the nomination of Ștefania Istrate, heaf of the PR & Marketing Department,  as a Dean's List Finalist.

Our team is ready for the second time in a row, to represent Romania at the First Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston 2024! 

First Tech Challenge Regional Championship 

26-28 January, 2024

Held at the Oslo Office Building in Bucharest, represented, in addition to the competitive status, also a favorable climate for the exchange of ideas and opinions against the background of STEAM and FTC values.

We won the Connect Award 1, which qualified us to the National Championship in Iași.

Maryland Tech Invitational 

23-25 June, 2023

We had the great honor of being invited to the prestigious, MTI competition in Laurel, Maryland at John Hopkins University. On the first day of the competition we received the visit of Mrs. Cristina Monica Kassai, 3rd Secretary of the Romanian Embassy to the USA. During the 3 days of competition, our robot managed to reach the semi-finals, after an excellent course of action for our amazing technical team.

First Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston 

19-22 April, 2023

After 4 days at the competition, full of excitement and many multicultural experiences, we are honored to have represented Romania at the World Championship.

We competed against 191 teams from all around the world and our robot was placed on 11th place.

Moreover, our team was nominalized Motivate Award Winner in Jemison Division.

A visit at the Romanian House of Parliament

6th of March, 2023

Our team was invited to join the meetings of the Romanian House of Parliament. It was a great honor to be publicly greeted by the plenary of the Parliament, for the results in the FTC   (FIRST Tech Challenge) National Championship.

We also had the honor to join the meetings of the Technology Committee of the Romanian House of Parliament. We are extremely grateful for the attention offered to us and the opportunity to present the challenges and the next steps towards our goal, the FTC World Championship.

National Championship FTC Romania

At the end of the 3 days of National FTC Championship in Bucharest, we are proud to announce our great accomplishment, Inspire Award 1st Place.

We are ready for the World Championship in Houston, USA, which will take place during 19-22 April, 2023.
